How Much Did The Jay-Z NFT Sell For?
Digital art by Derrick Adams to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Jay-Z’s debut, “Reasonable Doubt,” has sold at auction at Sotheby’s.

The piece’s formal name is “Heir to the Throne: An NFT in Celebration of Jay-Z’s Reasonable Doubt 25th Anniversary by Derrick Adams.”

The NFT art will also be made into a physical piece that will hang in Hova’s collection.

Here’s Bey’s Boo talking about art collecting in his 2017 jam, “The Story of O.J.”

“Financial freedom my only hope
Fuck livin' rich and dyin' broke
I bought some artwork for one million
Two years later, that shit worth two million
Few years later, that shit worth eight million
I can't wait to give this shit to my children
Y'all think it's bougie, I'm like, it's fine
But I'm tryin' to give you a million dollars worth of game for $9.99
I turned that 2 to a 4, 4 to an 8
I turned my life into a nice first week release date”

The lot sold for $138,600 USD ($170,776.68 CAD).
